Konami Announces Krazy Kart Racer, Wire Way

Quite a few announcements have been made at GamesCon in Europe this past week, many of them involving iPhone apps. We just read about Shrek Kart coming in September via Gameloft, so it is a bit interesting to hear that Konami is also coming out with a racer game of their own, in addition to another title.

Will Krazy Kart Racer, as it will be called, be any better? There’s no way of knowing until it comes out but fortunately it should be out before the end of August. According to No Dpad,

The game seems to revolve around multiplayer, and there will be support for 6 person local multiplayer and 5 additional single player modes.  The release version will also include 16 different tracks.

Be sure to check out the preview video (in German) at the bottom of the page.

That wasn’t all for Konami, however.

Wire Way is another iPhone game that will be making its way to the App Store sometime in November, just in time for the holidays.

Pocketgamer says:

You play a little black and white character, Riley, that’s suspended on a wire. The aim is to move from the bottom to the top of the screen, collecting stars and other power-ups and rebounding off bumpers as you go.

To do this you simply place a finger on Riley, pull back and then release, to ping him onto the next wire.

We hear the game is quite addictive; statements like that certainly raise our expectation level, so we hope it doesn’t disappoint.
