Rock Band App to Take Tap Tap Revenge’s Lunch Money
Tap Tap Revenge 3 came out this week, and it will enjoy the limelight and big bucks for a little while. But at CTIA 2009 in San Diego, it was announced that TTR’s worst nightmare will come true; Rock Band is coming to the iPhone, and the reviews are already highly positive.
IntoMobile reports they had the opportunity to play with the app, and it looks great.
You can play on your own, start up a world tour, or play with 4 other iPhone players via Bluetooth or internet. You can choose from 4 different instruments: guitar, bass, drums and voice.
The app will come pre-loaded with 20 songs, all from the real bands and not cover bands (“as made famous by”), and you’ll have the ability to purchase additional songs.
Ready for launch date? It’s going to be submitted to Apple in less than a week. That could mean we’ll see it in 2 weeks, it could mean 4 months. No way of knowing for sure, but I’m positive that the competition doesn’t have much more time before Rock Band comes in and smokes them.
That is, if it’s as good as the reviews say.
