Massage Therapists Will Love Anatomy in Motion, Coming Early 2010
Sneak peeks were to be had over at MendingHands today, when iPhone dev Mografi revealed an upcoming app called Anatomy in Motion scheduled for release sometime in early 2010.
Anatomy in Motion (for simplicity we’ll call it AIM) will include a database of over 125 individual muscles, giving the user the ability to focus on one muscle at a time; any massage therapist or anatomy student will love having a clear view of the origin and insertion of each individual muscle as well as being able to put the whole muscle group together layer by layer in order to study how the muscles interact with each other.
AIM also adds a flash card element to the app as well, giving you the name, origin, insertion, nerve, artery, and joint acted on each individual muscle. Test yourself on these cards to see how well you’ve memorized everything.
Beta testing is still at least a month and a half away, as it’s not scheduled for beta until February. Now’s a very good time, however, to get signed up to become a tester. Check out MendingHands to learn the email addresses you can contact to become a tester.
