So you own a iPhone 3GS and love the fact you can take videos of random stuff, but you’re annoyed because the video can occasionally get shaky. It’s awfully difficult to take decent videos, let alone professional-grade videos. Now, there’s an accessory for that!

Tiffen, a company known for making camera accessories, has announced a steadicam gadget nicknamed the “Smoothee” which is a complex-looking contraption that you strap your iPhone onto and, using a counterweight, allows you to take incredibly steady videos without the shaky movements.

The Smoothee can also be attached to a tripod or any type of flat surface, which allows greater freedom to move the Smoothee out and about in whatever kind of environment you may find yourself in.

There is no price or availability yet.

Here’s a video showing off Tiffen’s Smoothee Steadicam. Let me know what you think after:

Right now you can access FunnyorDie.com on your iPhone through the Safari browser and watch its videos using Quicktime. But that isn’t stopping web content platform Babelgum from developing a new app specifically for the immensely popular website.

Babelgum has announced an exclusive 2-year partnership with the site to bring videos into mobile applications. The iPhone is the first platform to be announced, though the announcement infers that apps will be developed for other mobile phone platforms as well (Android? Palm? Blackberry?).

No word on anticipated time for submission to the App Store, so we can only assume it’s in the very near future. Or hope, anyway.

In addition to the news, Babelgum also mentioned that part of the agreement will involve adding Funny or Die’s videos to its large and diverse library of streaming content.
